FOUR sites at Lorong Chencharu have been put aside for an aquarium fish export centre said the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) on Friday.
With a total land area of 17,189 square metres, the four sites are about the size of more than two football fields.
According to the SLA, the four sites will be offered with a 10-year lease with an option to renew for another 10 years after evaluation. The tender closes on Apr 29, this year.
The sites are part of a larger parcel of state land that has already been earmarked for similar use or for other agricultural purposes.
Businesses involved in the aquarium fish export are currently located at Jalan Kayu, however the area, which is government land, is slated for new roads and industrial development. Currently there are 16 business operating out of Jalan Kayu.
Interesting. U mentioned that “The sites are part of a larger parcel of state land that has already been earmarked for similar use or for other agricultural purposes.” Any idea where is the rest of the state land?
