Skimz has launched a trio of biopellet reactors to fit aquariums up to 2,000 liters (around 530 US gallons). The three reactors – the Skimz BR83, Skimz BR103 and Skimz BR153 Biopellet Reactors – feature DC pumps with a variable speed controller and a bottom-fed conical design to get a nice churn of the media to prevent clumping and channeling.

Of the three, the Skimz BR83 is the smallest, rated for aquariums up to 100 gallons. The Skimz BR83 is fitted with a VSC1200-DC (1,200 l/h) pump that lets you control the flowrate using the variable speed controller and can hold up to 400ml of media. The BR83’s bracket can be used as a hang-on or attach horizontally to the brace of the tank. The bracket will fit up to 19mm thick glass or acrylic.

The Skimz BR103 is the middle version for aquariums up to 1,000 liters (around 265 US gallons) that is also fitted with a larger version of the DC pump, VSC2000-DC (2,000 l/h), and can hold up to 1,000 ml of media.

If you still need more capacity, try the Skimz BR153 that features the larger VSC3000-DC pump (3,000 l/h), can hold up to 2,000 ml of media and is rated for aquarium: up to 2,000 liters.
